What I’m working on currently:
CORONA SWEATER: The Sequel!
I loved this sweater so much, I’m making another. This one I’m doing in the same yarn as the first (Cascade 220 heather) but in a beautiful green color called Celtic (the photo really doesn’t do it justice). I’m going to make it a bit bigger this time, with longer sleeves, for a roomier fit. I’m also doing a simple Celtic knot cable. Love love love it!!
The pattern is available for free on Ravelry.
RAVENCLAW SCARF
After the stress of all my holiday knitting, I really wanted something completely mindless to work on. What better than a simple garter stitch scarf?? I had some leftover cheapy acrylic yarn from the Toddler Blanket Project, that happened to be in Ravenclaw colors, which is my House.
UPDATE JULY 2011– still a WIP!
Recently Completed
This pattern was SO much fun to work. I plan to make another one at some point, much larger. The yarn is Mountain Colors Bearfoot (not sure of the colorway, I got it as a gift w/out a tag). Such a pretty yarn!
OMG, this is the BEST YARN. I’ve heard people raving about Malabrigo for ages, and finally purchased a skein of washable 100% wool Malabrigo Rios to make another Felicity (the other was a tad tight). I adore this soft, gorgeous yarn. My forehead is very sensitive to wool and alpaca, but there is minimal itching with this stuff. It’s going to get a lot use this winter!
My neighbor has this thing about crazy socks. He particularly like argyle, but that’s a little beyond my knitting capabilities! So I found this fun 100% wool yarn at my LYS. Supposedly it is infused with Aloe & vitamin E… that’s a new one! The pattern here is the standard one from Yankee Knitter that I always use.
I needed a really, REALLY quick gift for a friend, and was able to knit this up in a couple of hours with super bulky Bernat Felting Wool. It was super soft and a beautiful sky blue (again, doesn’t show well in the photo). I’m very happy with the way it turned out.
